Congratulations on your new puppy! We would love the opportunity to work with you and help you raise a calm, confident dog from the VERY START!

Puppy Pre-K Overview:

Our goal at the end of training is for puppy to exposed to a variety of environments, sights and sounds, understand the rules of living with humans (keep teeth on toys/food/bones, sit and wait for attention, comfortable on a leash) and start to understand a regular potty/crate training schedule.

  • Week One [Includes 5 training lessons, 7 days of care and lifestyle training]:

    • Calm in crate

    • Calm in puppy pen

    • Use bathroom outside

    • Sit for attention/calm greetings (no jumping)

    • Exposure to at least five different environments, noises and/or people (socialization goals)

    • "Out" Command and "Take It" Command

  • Week Two [Includes 10 training lessons and up to 14 days of care and lifestyle training]: 

    • Follow human while on longline leash

    • Pressure sit (nonverbal sit)

    • Recall to human ("Come" Command)

    • Calm when tethered in view of human

    • Exposure to at least five socialization goals

  • Week Three: [Includes 15 training lessons and up to 21 days of care and lifestyle training]

    • Calm walk on leash (no pulling)

    • Re-focus attention on trainer when distracted in public ("Leave It" command)

    • Place command (stay and calm until released)

    • Exposure to at least five additional socialization goals (15 total)

  • Week Four: [Includes 20 training lessons and up to 28 days of care and lifestyle training] 

    • Continue to practice skills learned in Weeks 1-3 now with distractions

    • Exposure to at least five additional socialization goals (20 in total)

    • Sleep 8+ hours in the crate overnight

Program Options:
Board and Train in Trainer’s Home $600/week
Day Train $400/week
